Davos. Switzerland: California Governor Gavin Newsom was blocked from entering an American venue at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and his scheduled participation was abruptly canceled, according to sources familiar with the situation, following what were described as indirect instructions tied to President Donald Trump.

The incident has sparked immediate concern among delegates and observers about political interference beyond U.S. borders — inside what is supposed to be neutral international space.

Newsom has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics. In a recent statement, he said:

“We are witnessing corruption under Donald Trump on a scale this country has never seen before.

He is weaponizing our institutions against his enemies.

He is profiting from the presidency.

How the hell are we supposed to tolerate this?”

No official explanation has yet been provided by WEF organizers or U.S. representatives in Davos.
