NIKI HALEY FIRST WEEK AT THE U.N.

Nikki Haley has had a busy first week as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and its only a small testament to change that she hopes to bring in the coming months under the Trump Administration.

INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY 2017

The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and this year the new U.N. Secretary General António Guterres has delivered a statement on the occasion and a series of events were also organized by the United Nations Outreach Programme in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to produce a set of 16 posters based on the Museum's exhibition State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda.

U.N. FORUM ON ANTI MUSLIM DISCRIMINATION AND BIGOTRY

A high level forum on anti Muslim discrimination and bigotry took place at the United Nations with a briefing to the journlists at the U.S. State Dept. Foreign Press Centers in New York and interviews with Shaarik Zafar, US Representative to Muslim Communities and David Friggieri, E.U. Representative.

ITALY & NETHERLANDS ELECTIONS DRAMA

THE HIGH DRAMA SURROUNDING THE ELECTIONS FOR THE 5 NON-PERMANENT SECURITY COUNCIL SEATS INVOLED ITALY AND THE NETHERLANDS, AFTER FIVE ROUNDS OF VOTING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY WAS DEADLOCKED AND NEITHER COUNTRY WAS ABLE TO GET THE TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY OF VOTES NEEDED TO WIN THE SEAT. SO THEY STRUCK A DEAL TO SPLIT THE SEAT WITH EACH NATION SERVING A YEAR.

BAN KI MOON CEREMONY AT THE NY SOCIETY FOR ETHICAL CULTURE

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon received an award in a ceremony from the New York Society For Ethical Culture as leader of the world body.
